There are few motorcycles quite as instantly recognisable as the Triumph Bonneville, and this beautiful 2008 T100 is a particularly lovely example of one of Britain's most iconic motorcycles.

Inspired by the legendary Bonnevilles of the 1960s, the T100 perfectly captures the charm, character and unmistakable styling of the original British classics, whilst offering the reliability, refinement and usability of a modern motorcycle.

With just 4,500 miles from new, this particular example is in exceptional condition throughout, having clearly led a very cherished and sheltered life in the hands of its previous elderly owner, who has cared for her exactly as you would hope.

The overall presentation really is a credit to its former keeper, with the sort of condition that is becoming increasingly difficult to find on a motorcycle approaching its twentieth birthday.

At the heart of the Bonneville sits Triumph's wonderful 865cc air-cooled parallel-twin engine, a beautifully simple and characterful unit producing approximately 67bhp. With its distinctive exhaust note, smooth power delivery and generous low-down torque, it offers that traditional British twin-cylinder riding experience without the temperamental nature often associated with older classics.

Mated to a five-speed gearbox, the engine is wonderfully responsive, with more than enough performance to keep things entertaining, whilst remaining exceptionally manageable and easy to ride.

Out on the road is where the Bonneville really comes into its own.

With its comfortable upright riding position, well-balanced chassis and relaxed nature, the T100 is an absolute pleasure to ride. Equally at home pottering through town, commuting to work or enjoying a spirited Sunday morning ride along your favourite winding B-roads.

Unlike many modern motorcycles, which seem obsessed with horsepower figures, electronic gadgets and outright performance, the Bonneville offers something altogether more enjoyable: a wonderfully honest, uncomplicated motorcycling experience.

The attention to detail is another of the T100's great attractions. From the traditional twin analogue clocks and classic teardrop fuel tank to the spoked wheels, chrome detailing, rubber knee pads and beautifully styled engine, almost every aspect of this motorcycle pays homage to Triumph's illustrious past.

Yet beneath those wonderfully nostalgic looks sits a thoroughly usable modern classic that you can simply jump on, press the starter and enjoy.

What makes this particular example especially appealing is its remarkably low mileage and exceptional level of preservation. With just 4,500 miles covered in approximately 18 years, she has clearly enjoyed a far easier life than most.

Whether you're looking for a beautifully presented modern British classic to add to your collection, a comfortable and characterful weekend toy, or simply a stylish and dependable motorcycle for everyday enjoyment, this lovely Bonneville ticks an awful lot of boxes.

The Triumph Bonneville T100 has always been a motorcycle that appeals to riders of all ages, and it's not difficult to understand why. Timeless styling, a wonderful engine, comfortable road manners and that unmistakable Triumph heritage.

A superb, exceptionally low-mileage example of a true British motorcycling icon, offering all the charm of a 1960s classic with the convenience of modern engineering.

A motorcycle that looks just as good parked outside your favourite country pub as it does carving its way through the Dorset countryside.

Quite simply, a lovely old girl that is ready to be enjoyed by her next lucky custodian.
